In addition David has undertaken contract research for a number of local and state government agencies. In this role he has investigated and analysed changing industrial structures in the Perth metropolitan region, home based businesses, transport infrastructure and design assessment methodologies.
In the field of planning education he has profiled changing employer perceptions on the skill and knowledge base required by planning graduates as well as investigating the exercise of influence within planning systems and the impact of this on educational agendas.
