Mr Martin Trevor

Martin is a lecturer in the Department of Design at Curtin University of Technology. He has practiced as a Senior Designer, Art Director and Production Manager for construction and manufacture over a period of 18 years before entering into academia in 1995. He gained his Master in Design in 1994 from the University of Technology Sydney.
Martin has lectured and coordinated a diverse range of units generic to design practice and specific to the specialism of Product Design

Courses he has Coordination included Three-Dimensional Studies, Fashion and Textile Design, and Product Design. He currently lectures in: Design Process and Practice, Materials and Manufacture, Human Factors, and Mechanical and Structural Principles.

Martin has practiced as a designer for a broad range of national and international clients including, McDonalds, Levi’s, Red Rooster, Commonwealth Bank, the Seven Network, and Network 10.

In 2004 Martin was Curtin’s representative on the Curriculum Council’s advisory committee for Design, Materials and Technology.

Research Interests

Martin’s research's interests focus on human factors in design and in particular the inclusivity of product design.
