Professor Sue Trinidad is currently the Dean of Teaching and Learning of the Faculty of Humanities at Curtin University of Technology. Previously she was Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Humanities.

Since entering academia in 1986, Sue has specialised in the implementation and building sound learning environments using technology. This involves applying good e-learning principles combined with the latest research on learning and applying this knowledge to the design and development of suitable learning environments.

Sue has a background in primary teaching and gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Computing in 1986, a Master in Education with Distinction in 1989, and PhD in 1992 from Curtin University, commencing her long involvement in the training pre-service and post-service teachers in how to use technology to enhance teaching and learning environments.

Research Interests

Integrating technology into the classroom; using technology effectively in education especially in regional and remote Australia;

  • Technology planning and implementation into schools; Training teachers and educators technology literacy levels;

  • Flexible learning and the use of online technology; developing pedagogically and andragogically-sound e-learning environments;

  • Cognitive and social development of young children using computers; Technology and young children's problem solving and

  • Methodological Experience: qualitative & quantitative methods- case studies, action research, R&D methods.

Research Projects
