Dr Asano-Cavanagh is a lecturer in Japanese within Department of Asian Languages, Curtin University.
Yuko specialises in semantics and pragmatics of Japanese and cross-cultural communication. She currently teaches intermediate Japanese to the second and third year students.
Memberships
She is a member of the Australian Linguistic Society, the Society for Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language (Nihongo Kyooiku Gakkai), and the Linguistic Society of Japan (Nihon Gengo Gakkai).
