Yasuo Takao is a senior lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences. He completed his PhD at the University of California in 1992. He specialises in the fields of comparative politics and international relations, with a geographical emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region.

Research Interests

Sub-national level of participation in global strategies on the environment; transnational civil society, especially on its networking and coalitions; transnational links among sub-national governments; compliance mechanisms of norms in international politics
