Architects design quality environments in which people live, work and play. The architecture course provides the education essential to become an architect while at the same time allowing students to pursue their own specific interests and talents.
Interior designers are qualified professionals who find creative solutions to problems relating to the function and quality of people's built environment. Interior designers design and document building interiors. This is the only interior architecture degree program in Western Australia.
All our undergraduate courses include creative design and communications, history and culture, science and technology, management and professional practice. These core streams provide a solid foundation on which individuals develop their architectural intelligence and professional values. Our purpose is to provide a substantial architectural education that integrates philosophical and pragmatic knowledge leading to the Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science), Master of Architecture and the Bachelor of Arts (Interior Architecture). Students are taught by industry professionals in a variety of settings: the studio environment, the workshop for creative work, and through conventional lecture and tutorial formats. All students have access to a range of facilities that enhance their learning.
Our Department attracts significant industry sponsorship of student prizes each year and has gained ongoing success in major student competitions.
