I chose to study at Curtin because it had the best design course at the time - a good balance of design theory with practical tuition. My highlight was Paul Green-Armytage’s colour theory classes.

Since graduating I’ve worked as a graphic designer for several magazines in Perth, freelanced for several years in London, worked as a freelance designer/illustrator in Perth for various art galleries and producing CD artwork for local bands. I have been Art Director at X-Press Magazine since 2006. I am due to complete a Master’s degree Visual Arts at ECU in 2010 – also working as a visual artist/painter.

I would recommend this degree to others. It prepares you to think further than your first idea for a layout or design, encouraging a more creative approach to the work.
