Project Templates
To foster the introduction and application of good Project Management processes, we have a Project Management Framework that provides a series of helpful templates customised for the following two categories of project:
Simple Project - defined as a project that:
- Has at least 70, and less than 500, person hours of work; or
- Has an allocated budget of at least $10 000.
Complex Project - defined as a project that:
- Has at least 500 person hours of work; or
- Has an allocated budget of at least $50 000; or
- Presents significant risk to university business.
The PM Framework details the steps to be taken for simple and complex projects. The templates associated with each category are grouped below. Where templates share a common name in both simple and complex projects, it should be understood that they are identical documents:

Sometimes it may be helpful in a Simple Project to utilise some of the additional templates designed for use with Complex Projects. The use of at least the Brief, Plan and Sign-off documents is compulsory for both categories of project.
