Teaching and Learning
Welcome to the Teaching and Learning web page for the School of the Built Environment..
Staff in BE are active in teaching and learning. This is borne out by success in the biannual Curtin University of Technology Teaching Excellence Awards. The School of Architecture Construction and Planning were runners up in the competition in 2000 and overall winners in August 2002. The winning submission may be found at the Learning Support Network. Many seed projects have evolved from this success and the 'new' School of BE that includes Architecture Construction, Planning are wholly committed to a collaborative environment of teaching and learning. The School runs an annual workshop to explore teaching initiatives and generate interest in learning activities.
The School Teaching and Learning Committee works closely with the Facultly's Teaching and Learning Committee and University Teaching and Learning Committee to facilitate and promote a teaching and learning culture across the fields of art, design, architecture, construction, planning and interior architecture.
At the bottom of the page are the contact details for the chair of the School's Teaching and Learning Committee. Please feel free to contact Gonnie Bruekers, by email or telephone, regarding any issues associated with learning activities within the School.
