Department of Design
The Department of Design offers creative students a comprehensive range of challenging, contemporary and career-relevant programs.
These programs develop strong presentation and visual communication skills, and encourage creativity, versatility, depth of knowledge and research. Design is about solving problems and making things communicate, stimulate, enlighten, entertain and look good.
In the first year, undergraduate students have the opportunity to start their specialised design studies and also engage with a wide range of fields in the University. This allows students to identify their special skills and interests before choosing their main focus of study from the areas of 3D Design, Creative Advertising and Graphic Design, Digital Design and Fashion. In addition to design practice students will gain good research and investigation skills, experience working in a team environment, and skills in communicating effectively in various media.
