The School of Education in partnership with Industry celebrates and recognises excellence in students through a number of Awards annually.

Students are eligible for a range of awards which recognise excellence at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The School of Education Awards ceremony is held at the John Curtin Gallery in April/May. The guests who attend this prestigious evening are: Award sponsors; Award winners and their families; recent graduates; mentors; Industry VIP and Curtin VIP.

The Miles Medal Award for Excellence in Education

Awarded to a graduate student who has achieved excellence in overall academic achievement in their course.

The Early Childhood Teachers Association Award

Awarded to a graduate recognising academic achievement and outstanding professional conduct through the Bachelor of Education course.

The Australian College of Educators {WA Chapter} Award

Awarded to the graduate who best fulfils the College expectations of academic and professional excellence.

The Pat Duffy Medal for Excellence in Art Education

Awarded to the graduate who has specialised in Art Education and achieved the highest mark during the professional experience internship.

The West Australian Secondary School Executives Association Award

Awarded to the most outstanding graduate from the secondary program.

The John Lake Medal

Awarded in recognition of excellent achievement in the Master of Education coursework or research stream.

The Walter D Neal Award for Excellence in Educational Research

Awarded in recognition of the most outstanding thesis at the Masters or Doctoral level.

The Nathan Winnett Memorial Bursary

The bursary, established by the Winnett family, is dedicated to the memory of Nathan Winnett and is awarded to a student studying in the field of Education.

The Clare McBeath Award for Training and Development

Awarded to a Training and Development graduate in recognition of professionalism as a teacher and trainer and excellence in overall academic performance through out the course .

Teachers Credit Union Excellence in Honours

Awarded to the student with the Highest mark for their Honours Dissertation.

Early Years in Education Society Award

Awarded to a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) graduate in recognition of academic achievement during the course
