Postgraduate Studies
Graduates of Curtin's Postgraduate Education Program are playing leadership roles in school systems throughout Australia and abroad, in colleges and universities, and in state and national Ministries of Education, Training, Health and the Environment.
Students are able to complete research and coursework higher degrees in most areas of Education, but particularly in the specialisation areas of Teaching and Learning; Computer Education; Learning Technologies; Special Education and Educational Leadership.
Teams of academic staff with expertise and supervisory experience in all these areas offer a comprehensive research based experience for local, Australian and international students. The postgraduate student body currently involves students from other Australian states and 11 different countries. All research Masters, PhD and EdD students have access to consumable and conference funds. Postgraduate Scholarships, Government and Curtin University Scholarships are available.
The four major degrees offered by the Department of Education include:
- Master of Education, Coursework only
- Master of Education, Thesis or Coursework/Research Project
- Doctor of Education, Professional Doctorate
- Doctor of Philosophy, Thesis
