Apply on the downloadable application form.
International students
For international students wishing to come to Curtin University to study: Applications may be made through Curtin International Office by downloading an application form and sending it by mail/fax to the Curtin International Office. NB This category of international student wishing to study at the graduate level can only apply for entry to the course to start in FIRST SEMESTER ONLY. This is because Australian government visa requirements require you to study full time and we are not able to construct a course program for you and take into account pre-requisite unit requirements if you start in second semester.
For international students wishing to study online in their home country: applications are made through the Humanities Student Services Centre.
What financial aid is available to help me fund my course?
Australian residents
You may be eligible for financial help while studying. Consult Centrelink for information.
Note that postgraduate coursework students may be able to receive assistance only if they are enrolled in a graduate diploma course rather than a masters course. A graduate diploma enrolment enables you to complete the first two thirds of the masters course and remain eligible.
As explained above Australian resident students may defer their payment of fees until they reach a threshold income. There is a great deal about fees and the aspects of study at the Commonwealth Government's Going to University website.
International students
The Australian government provides aid for students from certain countries to study through its AusAID scholarships. The rules and conditions vary from country to country.
Competitive scholarships are available for those undertaking research degrees.
What happens after I apply?
All applications except applications from Australian students applying through TISC will be assessed as soon as possible after they are received. You will receive a formal letter of offer soon afterwards. The letter will contain instructions on when and how enrolment will take place if you are to be an on-campus student. Distance education/online students will receive an enrolment form which they should return as instructed.
