Department of Journalism

Curtin Journalism has enjoyed an outstanding reputation over many years for preparing students with the skills, understanding and professionalism necessary for a career in the media industry.

The BA (Journalism) incorporates professional aspects of journalistic practice and informed theoretical understanding of media law and regulation, the history and economics of the media, and ethical and social issues. Students graduate with a substantial portfolio of work that has been published or broadcast to kick-start their career.

The course also responds to new convergences in media and information by enabling students to study alongside other students in related areas such as film and television, the Internet, and mass communication.
