Journalism Courses

Curtin University's journalism program dates back to 1978 when the university was called the Western Australian Institute of Technology.

Since then the course has produced many outstanding graduates who have gone on to successful media careers in Western Australia, interstate and overseas.

Postgraduate Courses

Once they have completed core introductory units, Curtin journalism students can choose to specialise in print, radio or television reporting.

They can also study online reporting and photojournalism.

Curtin Journalism students have an opportunity to produce both the InkWire website and the Western Independent newspaper. For both publications, students produce news stories, feature articles and photographs.
