Japanese Language Proficiency Test
The Japanese-Language Test is held in Japan and abroad to evaluate and certify proficiency of non-native Japanese speakers. The test is administered by the Japan Foundation and hosted by Curtin University.
The application process and checklist
- You will need two passport sized photographs
- A completed application form. To receive a hard copy application pack by contacting Kerry Wagland, Department of Asian Languages or email: kerry.wagland@curtin.edu.au

Costs involved
Level 1 = $90
Level 2 = $90
Level 3 = $90
Level 4 = $80
Level 5 = $80
Note: Payments are accepted via cash, cheque, money order, credit card or EFT in Australian dollars only. All cheques must be made out to Curtin University. To pay for your place in the JLPT, please take your completed form to the Cashiers' Desk in Building 101 (Student Central) for payment and then bring your application form, together with your Curtin University issued receipt to Building 209, Room 324 (level 3 reception).
