Emeritus Professor David Wood

Emeritus Professor David Wood was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor International at Curtin University between 2009 and 2015, after previously holding the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Humanities, from 2006 to 2009.

As DVC International David developed partnerships with universities and other education organisations throughout Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. In addition, he was responsible for branch campuses and their quality assurance. Whilst at Curtin, David was also a board Member of Open Universities Australia and Chair of Study Perth.

David also has held roles as the Chair for Coastal Planning and Coordination at the WA Planning Commission, Chair of the Ningaloo Sustainable Development Committee and Councillor for the Heritage Council of Western Australia. Currently, David is Deputy Chair and Member of the Governing Council of South Metropolitan TAFE and Chair of its Academic Board.
