As Chief Strategy Officer, Tony Brun leads the Strategy and Technology Division of Perth Airport and is responsible for the management of IT, data and communication.
He also oversees the integrated planning framework which guides the long term planning and approvals for all aviation, infrastructure and commercial property developments at Perth Airport.
Tony is currently a state divisional council member (non-executive director) for the Royal Australian Air Force Association (RAAFAWA) and is also the Adjunct Associate Professor and Chairman of the Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute. Tony was awarded the prestigious University of Southern Queensland, Faculty of Engineering and Surveying, Alumnus of the Year Award in 2012.
Tony has demonstrated leadership in urban and public works. His projects in Geraldton have received international acclaim as a finalist in the Bertelsmann Foundation Reinhard Mohn Prize and winner in the UN Environmental Program LivCom Awards in 2011, and again a finalist in 2012.
Tony has overseen the selection of Geraldton as one of the global IBM Smarter Cities; his active promotion saw the city awarded host port and sponsor of a yacht in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Master of Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia.
